Jusuf Sawirin
Chief Area Development
Best Western Indonesia

Born in Lampung Province, Sumatera Island Indonesia. He was study at Diploma IV Hotel Management and Administration Nusa Dua Bali. Started career in hotel industry with Toraja Misilianan Hotel, Tana Toraja, South Sulawesy (Celebes) in Room Division. For the past 20 years, he has held senior department heads positions in some hotels such as Surya Beach Hotel in Sanur, Pacung Mountain Resort Hotel in Bedugul, Kokokan Villas in Ubud, and became a General Manager in some hotels in Bali. He has the experience in working with several hotel chains such as Park Royal, Radisson and Aston International Corporate. In addition to his background, Mr. Sawirin has extensive international travel expertise and relationships with leading travel agencies, tour operators and multinational account.

The last four and half years, Sawirin was a Business Development Director of one of the largest hotel chain in Indonesia, reporting directly to the CEO. Sawirin's responsibilities was developing corporate and increasing the hotel development, and supervising the implementation of the standard during the pre-opening as well as the hotel operation.

Sawirin exclusively appointed to become a Chief Area Development of Indonesia for Best Western International in March of 2007, reporting directly to Vice President of International Operations, Mr. Glenn de Souza. Sawirin's responsibilities include developing corporate and group sales and marketing programs for Indonesia. "Jusuf's proven leadership, industry expertise and excellent business track record will give a great contribution for Best Western development in Indonesia" said de Souza

In his role, Sawirin takes responsibility for the management, development and expansion of the Best Western International brand throughout Indonesia and is working closely with Mr. Glenn de Souza. Sawirin also continues his responsibilities in taking the lead in advertising and public relations activities in order to expand the brand more aggressively in Indonesia. His ability is proven by getting more than 12 properties for Best Western within 1 year operation of Area Development Office in Indonesia.
