Area Development Office Best Western of Indonesia earns Outstanding Award

JAKARTA, December 12, 2008 – Best Western Area Development Office Managing Director Jusuf Sawirin receives the most prestigious award from Best Western International for his outstanding performance in area development for the year 2008.

Experiencing more than 22 years old in Hospitality Industry, Jusuf Sawirin established PT. Bangun Wahana Indah Indonesia as area development office for Best Western International in Indonesia in April 2007. Along with a number of hotel chains in Indonesia, Sawirin believes that there is a positive growth for the hospitality business in Indonesia for the next five years.

Sawirin said, “Best Western in Indonesia is optimistic about expanding its members to approximately 20 hotels by 2010 and we are confident that we will reach our goal in the next few years in targeted locations all over Indonesia, such as Bali, Jakarta, Surabaya, Kalimantan, and Sumatra.”

Glenn de Souza, Best Western International Vice President for International Operations Asia noted, “We are highly confident to appoint Jusuf as Managing Director for our Indonesia area development office.” He further said, “Indonesia tourism continues to perform well with international visitors increasing approximately 10%. This is a great opportunity to expand membership in the area.”

The entry of Best Western to the country is a benefit for business and leisure travelers who seek great accommodations and international service. Sawirin said, “With its strong name, Best Western will help advance the tourism in Indonesia to international level.
